Marshmallow Dough

Ready for a simple, two-ingredient sensory material?  Then grab your flour and your liquid dish soap and be prepared to have some fun!

We used a bunch of flour because our little monkeys loved scooping the flour into the bowl ;)  And the measurements for the soap do depend on the brand you use (with The Dollar Tree being the best one we found), but I think it's roughly 1 cup flour to 1/2 cup of dish soap.

I would start with the flour and then add the dish soap until you the achieve the correct consistency:

It will be lumpy at first:

So I kneaded it a bit (feels just like pizza dough!)

And then Monkey J did too:

Before we started touching it, stretching it, squeezing it, and putting objects into it:

The material is so neat because it's so soft and bounces back, yet leaves imprints:

We grabbed a bunch of tools and even pretended to make "fossils" of shells, nails, bubble wands, etc.

What's your favorite sensory material?
