We've been enjoying some fun 4th of July activities...first up, sticking the flag cupcake toppers (from The Dollar Tree) into a green foam block:
Not only is this good for practicing fine motor skills:
It also served for a wonderful counting tool!
Next up were some fireworks paint:
Simply pour little dabs of red, blue, and white (or any color!) paint onto construction paper:
And let the kids drag toothpicks, cupcake toppers, straws, or q-tips through them:
It becomes even cooler when they start mixing the colors together!
Ours eventually turned into finger-paint:
But we still had a blast! Note: the cotton q-tips ended up working the best for us!
